Separate agreement
A repair is a separate service from the annual membership and the contract is with the individual sole trader operating as Kitch Applicare. We may use appropriately skilled independent subcontractors to perform work, but remain responsible for the repair contract. Receiving a diagnosis or quote does not oblige you to buy a repair.
Your written quote
Before chargeable work begins, the quote will describe the fault identified, proposed work, parts, repair labour, total price including applicable VAT, expected timing, payment terms and any genuine workmanship or parts guarantee.
Your approval
We begin chargeable repair work only after you expressly accept the quote. If further work or cost becomes necessary, we pause and seek your further approval.
Care and skill
Repair services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill, within the agreed or a reasonable time and for the agreed or a reasonable price. These terms do not reduce statutory consumer rights.
Parts, access and safety
Parts depend on supplier availability and suitability. We do not fit customer-supplied parts unless expressly agreed in writing. You must provide safe access and an adult must be present. If an appliance is unsafe or a repair is not economically sensible, we stop and explain the available choices. No replacement or cash benefit arises from membership.
Cancellation and complaints
The applicable cancellation rights depend on how and where the separate repair contract is formed and whether the customer expressly requests work during a cooling-off period. Final terms and the quote will explain those rights before acceptance. Complaints can be made through the published complaints process.
